1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ClawGrab ("the Service") at getclawgrab.com or clawgrab.onrender.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using ClawGrab on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2 Description of Service
ClawGrab is a web-based tool that extracts text transcripts and captions from publicly-accessible video content on platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, Vimeo, and others.
The Service returns text data (transcripts, captions, subtitles) from videos at URLs you provide. ClawGrab does not:
- Download or store video files
- Host or redistribute video content
- Bypass DRM (Digital Rights Management) systems
- Access private or password-protected content
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
3 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use ClawGrab. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
The Service is available worldwide where not prohibited by applicable law. You are responsible for compliance with local laws in your jurisdiction.
4 User Accounts
Creating an account is optional for basic use. If you create an account:
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- You may not share your account credentials with others
- You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5 Subscriptions & Billing
Free Plan: Up to 10 transcript grabs per month at no cost. No credit card required.
Pro Plan ($12/month): Unlimited grabs, priority processing, and advanced features. Billed monthly via Stripe.
Power Plan ($29/month): Everything in Pro plus API access, batch processing, and team features. Contact us for Power plan access.
Billing terms:
- Subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you subscribed
- All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
- Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment details.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled
Refund Policy:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscribers. Contact support@getclawgrab.com within 7 days of your first charge.
- After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion
- Partial-month refunds are not provided
6 Acceptable Use
You agree to use ClawGrab only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
- Use the Service to extract content that violates copyright law or platform terms of service
- Automate requests to circumvent rate limits or usage quotas (without an API plan)
- Use the Service to scrape content at scale for commercial redistribution without permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Service
- Submit URLs containing malicious code or designed to attack our infrastructure
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any individual or group
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Create accounts with false information or to circumvent bans

Permitted uses include (but are not limited to): research, accessibility, content creation, personal note-taking, AI prompt preparation, language learning, and journalism.
7 Intellectual Property
Our IP: The ClawGrab name, logo, website design, and underlying software are owned by ClawGrab and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.
Your content: You retain all rights to the URLs you submit and the transcripts you receive. We claim no ownership over content you process through our Service.
Third-party content: Video transcripts and captions are the property of their respective creators and platforms. ClawGrab facilitates access to publicly-available caption data; we do not create or own this content.
8 Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Transcripts will be accurate, complete, or up-to-date
- The Service will work for all video URLs or platforms
- Any defects will be corrected
Video availability and caption data depend on third-party platforms. ClawGrab cannot guarantee results for videos that lack captions, are region-locked, or have been removed.
9 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLAWGRAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10 Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship at any time:
- You may stop using the Service and/or cancel your account at any time

Upon termination: your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
11 Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against ClawGrab.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
